Deidra and Jill met on a playground in the early fall of 2004 whilst attending to their small children. This fateful playground would be the site of many future meetings between the two fast friends. Both women recognized in the other shared values and a passion for environmental responsibility. These shared values led to an on-going discussion and deliberation about how to make children’s birthday parties fun without a mountain of waste. This was the beginning of TulaJane and has since blossomed into a firm that focuses on providing people and businesses the knowledge and background to decrease their carbon footprint.

Family and friends are a top priority for TulaJane; business is conducted in a way that allows an open schedule ensuring a lot of time with their children while maintaining a successful business. It may be unconventional, it may conflict with the typical business model, but TulaJane is ready to confront that business model and work out a true balance between work, family, and play.

Who is TulaJane? She is woman that both Deidra and Jill see as the essence that makes them who they are. Tula is creative, spontaneous and fun, with a real flare for connecting with people. Jane has a keen sense of detail management, is soft spoken, responsible, and organized.
