TulaJane Green Catering

When TulaJane began planning eco events, we had difficulty finding an Edmonton-based caterer committed to using local ingredients and materials, while maintaining sustainability as a top priority. Since those early days we have been in contact with many other businesses that share the same sustainability goals as TulaJane, including other caterers. However, some things are just meant to be; we catered because we wanted to ensure the success of our early events, and well, fell in love with it. The rest is catering history!

Our first priority when choosing ingredients for our recipes is to ensure they are local and organic. If we can not find local and organic, then we go for the local (non-organic) choice; reducing the distance our food has to travel is key when making a meal green. If the product is not available locally then we buy it organically. The menus we provide change, just as the seasons do. Developing food selections that depend on availability at particular times during the year ensures that food can be sourced locally (and organically if possible).

TulaJane’s Green Catering division specializes in ‘finger food” style menus. As part of our catering service, we also work with you in determining your beverage needs. TulaJane sources local and/or organic wine, beer, and spirits to compliment your event.

Since our seasonal ingredients come primarily from local growers and food producers, our offerings change four times a year, stay tuned... we will have our spring menu posted soon!
